Hello and welcome,

Having been born and raised in the countryside, I have had a fascination with wildlife for all of my life. Many hours spent walking, birdwatching, fishing and exploring the local area ignited a passion for the natural world that has continued to grow. I love Wildlife Photography for the endless amount of surprise and a particular favourite place of mine is the Cairngorms in Scotland. I am now fortunate to photograph for the RSPB.

My love of wildlife photography began at the age of 13 when I was given a digiscope camera to attach to my telescope. For my 14th birthday I was gifted a DSLR, a Canon 40D with a 100-400mm lens. Since then, the obsession has grown...

A chance meeting in the Cairngorms with author, photographer and wildlife guide, Andy Howard, further fuelled my passion. I have been fortunate since then to join Andy on his tours and his enthusiasm and expertise are infectious. Highly recommended!

The isolation of being surrounded by nature, whatever the weather, is something which I truly enjoy. A
personal favourite has to be sitting out on a cold moorland on an April dawn, being surrounded by lekking Black Grouse. Epic stuff!

Although photography is a huge passion of mine, my main career is as a freelance musician. I have been lucky enough to work with some brilliant people and travel to some amazing places through various companies including The Royal Shakespeare Company as Music Director. Wildlife watching, early morning walks and listening to nature has been instrumental in the filming of and the composing of the music for my wildlife films.
